Khenmo Drolma has been a Buddhist nun in the Tibetan tradition for over 20 years. Having studied with the greatest masters of our time, she now teaches meditation internationally. Known as an innovative and creative teacher, she has trained with the foremost spiritual teachers of our time including H.H. Dalai Lama, H.H. Chetsang Rinpoche (the head of the Drikung Kagyu Lineage) and Ven Pema Chodron. Formerly a college teacher and sculptor, she first ordained in 1997 and in 2002 received full ordination, becoming the first woman in the Drikung lineage to do so. In 2004 when she was installed as a Khenmo (abbot) in the Drikung lineage she became the first westerner in her lineage to hold the responsibility. Since then she has worked continuously to establish Vajra Dakini Nunnery, a Tibetan Buddhist Nunnery for western monastics in North America. Vajra Dakini is now located in Portland and offers a variety of public programs.

All traditions realize the imperative for compassion to guide wisdom. Wisdom is the source of authentic and unshakable compassion. We see and experience the crisis of closed hearts around us, from attitudes towards migrating refugees to racism. The fundamental wisdom of Buddhist science offers training systems that change hearts and minds, eliminating the root of ignorance that forms bias. Join Khenmo to learn the ancient techniques of Equalizing Self and Others, a pathway to limitless compassion.

Khenmo will offer will offer instruction in calm abiding mediation and basic compassion training systems .
