About UsSadhana's mission is to create a non-denominational/non-sectarian refuge for the cultivation of peaceful relationships within ourselves and with our fellow beings through the practice of meditation and chanting. As we sit together in a group we gather our attention in the moment, sharing our energy and helping one another to reinforce our practice and sense of belonging. Sadhana is an ancient Sanskrit word. Its simple meaning is Spiritual Practice.
Meditation practice helps us to develop mind/body strength and flexibility, enabling us to both embrace life’s challenges and celebrate its joys with greater ease. Meditation is a powerful a tool for cultivating joy, peace, clarity, energy, self-understanding, acceptance of others, inspiration, generosity, forgiveness, bliss and love—to name a few!
Chanting sacred words and devotional songs is a form of meditation. Like an orchestra, our individual voices are instruments that when played together create harmony. Sacred words uplift us to a higher consciousness. Chanting forms a bridge from our heart to our mind, from sound to silence.
Walk in as you are, whatever your experience - you are welcome to stay as long as you like. The doors at Sadhana will be open from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m., seven days a week.
You are invited to bring a cushion, although plenty of cushions are available. We do appreciate donations of any size, depending on what you can afford.
