Yoga Classes
Drop-in class fees are $10 for 1 hour class and $12 for 75 min or 90 min class.
We have enough volunteer opportunities to meet the needs of anyone who finds our modest fees a barrier to practice. So please contact cmyers@sadhaname.com if you would like to volunteer in exchange for taking classes at Sadhana. Call 772-6898 for more information.
Drop-in Yoga Class Descriptions
All-Levels Yoga – Mixed level hatha yoga class providing challenge and support to experienced and new students. Instruction will link breath, body, movement, and mind cultivating awareness, strength, flexibility, joy, and freedom. Beginners welcome.
Gentle Flow – All-levels class including Gentle Stretching & Slow-Flow Vinyasa. Classes will focus on contemplative holding of both stretching and strengthening poses and slow flow vinyasa sequences coordinating breath with movement. Also included are restorative poses to calm the mind and body and an extended deep relaxation practice. Yoga history and philosophy will be introduced to help students connect with spirit as they desire.
Gentle Kripalu Yoga – Gentle Yoga class taught at a slower pace with deep attention to body and breath, welcoming all students.
Power Vinyasa Yoga – Vigorous 1 hour vinyasa class. Be ready to move. Some yoga experience suggested.
Restorative Yoga – Gentle poses are held for extended periods of time giving the body time to move into its own alignment and release tension and stress.
Therapeutic Yoga – Yoga postures, breathing techniques, meditation practices, and restorative poses that are intentionally designed to help you gain greater self awareness, reduce stress, free physical tension, and connect to your own inner wisdom and knowing on a deeper level.
Classes are open and accessible to both those who are new to yoga and experienced practitioners alike, empowering students to discover their unique magnificence and equipping them to take their yoga practice off the mat into their day to day lives.
Fundamentals of a Deeper Practice – on-going series with Leigh Tillman and Colin Reid
Mondays, 5:30pm to 7:15pm
A course teaching a traditional meditative Hatha-yoga practice. Establish yourself deeply in posture, yoga cleansing techniques, energetic cultivation, meditation and yogic philosophy. Join us for this in-depth study based on the acclaimed Agama Yoga one-month intensive. Appropriate for both experienced and beginning students. $12 drop-in per class.
Yoga for Ordinary People and Everyday Life – with Arline Saturdayborn
Tuesdays, 5:15pm to 6:30pm
If you are tired, stiff, inflexible, overloaded, stressed out, large bodied or out of shape
this class is for you. Doing warm ups that help you feel good in your body and learning basic yoga postures, we will focus on increasing strength and flexibility in ways that work for you just as you are now. Learn how different breathing practices increase or decrease energy and ways to use yoga in your daily life: in the car, in bed, waiting in line, or pumping gas. Each class will end with a deep relaxation which helps reduce stress, integrate class activity and FEELS SO GOOD. You may see amazing results in increased energy and well-being. Drop-in $10 per class.
